2.25" lug vs. 2.5" on the trail?

Anyone having problems with the 2.5" track on the trail? Here in WA. we have to ride a fair amount of trails to get to the good stuff. I also have a Wife and two Daughters that ride so I end up doing some all day trail rides. Any thoughts or experiences?

Didnt notice a difference when I went from 2.25 challenger to 2.5 challenger extreme on the trail other than more traction.

I just don't think 2.5" is a deep enough lug for groomed trail.
Seems to me you'd be getting stuck all of the time.

:D

it is about the same as ditchbangen you might rip a few lugs if ya hammer down real hard. I half rode with 2 inch paddles and will rip one once in a great while

If you can rip a lug on a challenger extreme track, I want to meet you and see how you ride, because that track is bomb proof!!

Whats the saying?

If you make it, someone will break it!?

or maybe its ...someone will buy it... :P

I did quite a bit of late season riding in setup / hard pack snow conditions. 162x16x2.4 (cut down 2.5). On a boosted Nytro. Hooks hard, and all the lugs are still there. by what I've seen! :)
