2.0 track/7inch skis?

2012 switchback 600 Pro R

I was wondering if anyone has put a 2.0 track on their Switchback and/or 7 inch skis? Im mostly in off-trail situations in Yellowknife, and the snow has no moisture, and I hate how it digs the last foot of track right to the ground in deep sugary powder. Has anyone tried the 2.0 track or wider skis in any combination?

I might try 7 inch Slydogs/or SLP Powder Pros and the larger track from polaris. but is there different track options than the camoplast challenger?

I already know that Im ditching the exhaust silencer for a lighter one, and maybe taking off the ES and battery, just to save weight and help with front flotation. It really seems that the front end of the sled is pulling down the performance of this sled in deeper snow.

oh and has anyone cut their snowflap? I make it a mission to get stuck every time i go out, but think that the flap maybe causing more problems then anything else. Im thinking that if i trim 2 inches off the bottom and a couple speed holes in it I could gain some deep powder advantages.

i have no idea what track lug will fit in those sleds but my buddy runs the C&A XTX ski on his switchback assault and he loves them. that beaver tail system they have on the switchback Pro Rs sucks in deep snow just like the old one the revs used to have.

Will look into the c&a skis a bit more. Easy to find them too.

But what I'm thinking is the 2.0 track help move the sled faster in deeper snow. I feel like the cobra track hits a wall, digs down and spins excessively killing all forward momentum. I'm looking for it to pick up the front end and wheelie out.

I have that same track on my swbk and I love it! Lugs are stiff and won't fold over, also cut on the outside, lays over real nice too. Got over 1000 miles on mine, no damage. Yet.:face-icon-small-ton
