1999 summit x coil problems

hi, my name is jerome, i have a 1999 summit x 670, this last summer we took my sled out to ride on the water in centerville, id. the last day we went there i was putting it on the trailer and it died on me. So about 3 weeks later we went to the marsing sprint boat races, i took off and made it just abou to shore and it died on me again, it wasnt overheating, and it didnt look like there was much spark at all after it died, so my question is, could it be an internal coil, or could it be something else that is electronic, my sled is equipped with the electronic DPM controller, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

My 99X would die randomly, replaced electronic parts one at a time, finally it died and didn't start again (major powder day, furthest point from the trucks of course), last part was the stator. Once I replaced that it ran awesome again.

I don't think that sled ever saw that much WOT, but after a couple hard climbs it would act up, if I turned it off it wouldn't start, then it progressively got worse and worse.

thanks very much man, that kind of sounds like whats goin on here, i cant believe you never held that thing wide open, them 670's have a butt-load of torque, any rotary valve engine from ski-doo has got torque, if u know where i can find a turbo for it, let me know man, thanks for the replies and the help, Jerome
