i am having trouble with my sled, it runs great when its cold but after i ride it and open it up it dies completely. thinking its stator problems do you have any ideas. new plugs, caps, and carbs cleaned and synced.
Where is your CDI located? If on the tunnel under the air box you might try moving it. They got hot down there and in later models Polaris moved them, at first to the air box and then to a bracket next to the air box.
Get an ohm meter and test the stator output connections after it stops running while it is hot. If out of spec then it's probably the stator. Wear your fire proof underwear, pipe will want to burn you.
