I bought a 97 Indy 500 for my daughter, want to get the kids into riding. I put a 136 x 1 track and rail extensions under it and need the gearing from a 1997 500 RMK. I can't seem to find out what they were stock. This has 21/39 in it. Also what are the gears, 15w or 13w?

I would assume clutching and jetting are the same as a standard 500.

Pretty sure the rmk's came stock with 19/39. I don't have a chart or specs with me here at work. We geared them down from there to 18/39 or 19/41. Your kids will love that sled. Great starter sled. Stock clutching was pretty good on those for a light rider. Heavy guys like myself liked to change them up a bit, but for a kid, stock rmk clutching should be fine.

The 97 Indy 500 RMK came with 20:39 gearing. Gold primary, 10M bushed weights, Red secondary in hole #2 of 36* helix. Operating rpm of 7800. You have everything except for the gearing. If you're going to change the gearing I would recommend 19:39.
