What are the best mods on a Rmk700 2007 if i should spend 1900-2000 bucks on it..most engine and clutching.
Sled is all stock now.

Thanks..

I have that sled, and I can tell you what I just did. I am going to a 163" Challenger Extreme track with Fastrax's drop and roll kit, their strait rails, the Exit shocks, and Avid drivers. As it is not together yet I cant tell you if I made the right choice but I believe I have. If you go with the 155” CE you can use your existing rails and still keep it under 2 grand. My next wad of cash goes to the front suspension, Exit shocks and Z-Broz A-arms. The one thing the 700 has going for it is reliability. My motor it still stock and after 2,500 still runs like a Swiss watch. Spending two grand on the motor might net you 20 or so HP and might also affect reliability. I am going for flotation and ride quality and if I still need more power after that then next year it gets a full rebuild with a TURBO. Of course the clutches should get new springs at the start of every season. I had what I thought was low power last year that turned out to be a weak primary spring.
The 700s are technically superior engines to the 800 and I am soooooo glad I didn’t upgrade.
Just something to consider.

:beer;;)

I just sold my sled and here is what I did or wish I would have done...

Flo-rites (get some more air to increase your belt life) more air flow the better
Big air horn kit
SLP pipe/can i think it was like a 7hp increase? plus weight savings. (see if u can do y-pipe as well)
Risers-get the handle bars to a level where you are not bending over to far
Get some clutching done, find out what people use for the elevation you ride
If you keep your air walkes on get some covers for them the half shields will save them from getting some knicks in them
smaller windshield (so much nicer when you have to roll ur seld to get unstuck)
left hand throttle (still have not used mine yet but will be glad it's there when I need it)
under the seat storage good for two ropes and tools
shovel bag is great for water and other items

Roadtrip:Thanks for Great info!

Iamsick: I have been thinking about a slp single pipe with silencer and slp high flow intake kit..I know i will need the fuel box to make this work 100%..and i belive i will get the fuelbox..but is there any flash that could work any good with this set up?

Does the slp power shift kits work any good?

honestly 700 is bulletproof i'd keep it that way. Ive had 08 and just got an 2010 love them.

Better boards
slp air horn
slp pipe can
vents vents vents
spare belt expensive not cheap one
lower windsheild is nice or just cut and paint original
clutching, extra spring in tunnel bag just in case
09 front end would be nice if is 07 or 08
cover got to keep it nice

not 1900 but its a start

by my slp race twins, fasttrx drop and roll camo extreme, i had a slp pipe once waste of money to me if i was you i would stick with a stock pipe/ with a can rather waste money on slp pipe just make sure you take a good dump in the morning before you head out, you will get the same performance gains as a slp pipe:D

get rid of the stock track, put on a challenger extreme (by far the greatest gain). throw an almond spring in the primary and a black/white in the secondary. Put on an SLP performance edition pipe. Have fun!

My wifes sled 07 dragon 700
SLP performance pkg.....pipe,can,big horn kit, flow rites(5),slp mtx cluch kit.and all those funky bags(tunnel, under seat ,handlebar)..

It rips pretty good only complaints is the tippy heavy steering, and not real impressed with the walkers.

Thanks..

I have a 2007 D7 with a PC 3 currently.

I would highly recommend the PC-5 ($365.00) with Autotune ($250.00) www.dynotechresearch.com

Also check out mt TECH TIPS FOR 600/700/800 Free Mods & Best Bang for the Buck Mods, it's under the INCREASING YOUR IQ "sticky" at the top of this IQ section.

Hope this helps

And don't forget to gear it down. I run 19 X 42 but 19 X 41 is almost the same and costs about $30.00 to do. It makes an improvement in high load track speed and belt life.
