It would be good to hear if this is the fix. I realize the scan tool uses voltage same as the ECM but you can get an indicator of issues with an Ohm meter and that was the question. Even though it is called a 5 volt circuit the range is most likely 0.5 to 4.5 volts. By adding 5 volts you may not get accurate readings. Best of luck and i hope this is the fix. I had mine out yesterday and it ran as it should. I did have the hesitation from new but as i got some miles on the machine it just went away.
 
New tps installed and adjusted within specs. Reassembled and so far it looks like this was the problem. with The track lifted, it appears to run fine without the flat spot. I noticed when I checked the original tps that the meter reading fluctuated greatly when I moved the tps reading tool. So it looks like success! i Will update if I find I was unsuccessful. I purchased a tps reader....tps tool.com. The tps is the same as a Polaris, lol. Reeds interchange with skidoo. Now we need snow
