19,20,21,... Best top sprocket for XP154"

So what has been found to be the ideal gearing for a N/A XP800 154"?

I doo have a SLP Y&pipe, HPS can, Roosterbuilt clutch kit # ?????, running 21 top right now.

I have an 09 800 xp 154" with an HPS Can and a Rooster Built clutch kit and I just got off the phone with Paul at Rooster Built and ordered a 19 tooth top gear. He said a 19 or a 20 would work, but since I am 225 pounds he recomended a 19 and said it would help a lot. I should have the gear by this weekend I'll let you know how it performs.

We almost always go 19 for the mountains. Unless you ride low altitude, are a lighter weight rider, top speed is a concern or you spend alot of time riding the roads, then a 20T. This is with our setup, different clutch setups will have an effect on what gearing works the best.

I should've had you put a 19 in with the kit & quick clickers I got from you, thought I had a 20 tooth sprocket to put in. Turns out I had another 21 tooth, I should get 1 ordered-heading out in a couple weeks.

I am a little lighter,,, 180 lbs. I have a XP 163. Ride at 9000 feet + alt. Back country steep & deep... I use a 24 tooth top gear,,, Track speed 55 MPH up the hill.... works good for me with my setup.. HPS can, Y pipe. It RIPS
