18" vs 20" wheels on 3/4 ton diesel

Bunch of flat brim haters.
Stock size duratracs on our 2012 powerstroke 3/4 ton.
Had to give the dealer $400 to pull the stock michelins off and put on the best snow dawg tires in the world.

so I should have done some research before I just bought the 20's because I thought they looked better.....:face-icon-small-con

20s 18s who gives a chit. Find the ones you like on your rig and don't worry about what the status quo thinks. There are plenty of tire sizes and load ranges for all of them.

Hmmm dont all the heavy duty trucks run 19.5 or larger? Theres a reason, the bigger the sidewall the more flex which in return causes the sidewall to break down.

Those are stock wheels and tires (31s) truck now has 35" toyo open countries.

What's with this flat brimmed hat crap. I'm an old man at age 52 and would not think about trading my 35-20's for anything less. I like the looks of the 20's over the 18's. I get compliments daily on my Duramax partly due to the wheels and tires. To each his own, and by the way I don't wear a flat brimmed hat, I wear a girdle.

I hope you have a GOLD girdle then! LOL

I really think that it doesnt matter. It comes down to personal choice then and $$$.$$. Just like you, I get the same compliments. I dont wear a flat brimmed hat, I wear a apple bag.....:tea:

You are right Ford428 it is gold and have many other colors depending on my mood. Haha, by the way nothing against flat brimmed hats both of my son-in laws wear them. Back to the price thing on the tires they are all expensive. I just put new Toyo Mt's on mine and was just short of 1900.00. Had to sell my left testy to pay for them. Looks like I will be able to put one more set on in the future since I still have one nad left. I figure they just as well get used for something. Either I sell them or leave them home in mamas purse, either way they dont do me any good.

Ya, my son (who is 9) has a flat brimmed hat! Sign of the times.... I guess.

I bought a set of Fierce Attitude MT's. They are 13" wide 35's and I got my military discount.... So I got mine mounted and balanced for less then $1000.... So I was super happy. By the way, they are "E" rated. The Toyo's are just too much $,$$$.$$ (little over $1700) now a days.

I wear 10.5 on my feet and 20s on my truck and dont care if you like or dislike it. There mine and there paid for. If you want to go after market get what u want. It all costs what it costs.

Another day at snowest forums.:typing::couch2::whoo::lalala::nono::pop2::gossip::peace:

That's all jibberish I am a Toyo and nitto tire dealer and yes they want u to think that 20s are so much more but honestly they sometimes are less than 18s I know its hard to believe. For instance 35x20 are like 20 bucks more a tire than 35x18. And not to mention wheels are a lot more for 18s.hope this helps.pm me for pricing

X2. That and there are becoming more and more tires for 20"s where 18"s are getting less popular. There are alot more used 20" tires behind our shop than 18"s.

16"s are the new 15"s, and 17"s are the new 16"s. Except 17"s are a pain in the ***. I wish everything was 16" or 20"

BTW, i will trade thease 37x12.5x20 nitto trail grapplers for 35" trail grapplers. My tires have less than 1000 miles on them.
