18’ twin rail

Spent the whole day yesterday on my 18’ mtn cat 800 153. Haven’t riden it much this year because Ive been riding the turbo and my 18yo has been riding this mtn cat. I absolute love this sled. It’s 100% stock other than a can and a wrap. It Boondocks so good. So easy to get on edge and it easily stays there for days. The best thing is it’s so precise in super technical, steep tree riding. Anywhere you point it, it Just goes there with little effort and input. Holds a line and an edge a good as any other sled. The harder you ride it the better it performs. I would love it if cat would release a new sled with the twin rail and the 3.5” pitch powerclaw 3” track.

We would love to see a twin rail package re-introduced with the 3.5P track on it.

While we do love our elevated Alpha's the elevated twin rail setup has an impressive edge when the snow gets more variable.You can set and edge and hang onto an edge in some rather impressive terrain.

Yeah I still love my twin rail. I can sidehill steeper terrain and hold a line easier than my alpha. Just doesn't have the traction and pull when it gets deep comparing the two.

that alpha track is a spoiler for sure. i love how you can turn the alpha around in a tight spot where the twin rail you have to lay it on its side and spin the track fast to get it to come around and its kind of ridiculess in comparison. Id have a hard time deciding between the two. i need to ride alphas more to experience the complaint on them.

Haven't ridden an alpha enough to provide a good understanding of the differences but my '18 MC is my favorite sled to date. Elevated & 4" tunnel chop with y-pipe & Silber tune. I agree the harder you ride it the better it does.
