174 apex ?

hey guys just wondering witch rails to go with, not sure if I should go with the straight ones or the tipped up ones defenently want to go with the 174 track. I ran into Laiard McDugall last weekend, he is running the iceage yamaha 174 rails combined with Backers rear suspension on his totally sick nitro, oh and did I mention that he is running a 174-16 with 3 inch paddles, the thing was just sick. What I was mainly concerned about was the weely issue, I am running 20 pounds of boost and like the steep and deep, but I like to climb with the skis about six inches to a foot of the ground, that way I can body language it up the hill, I guess my question is are the straight rails going to make it harder to ride, is it still going to whealy, and how about the length of that track, is there a big difference in climbing as compared to a 162 ? How about riding as far as it feeling like there is nine miles of sled behind you and it is not very ridabel ? Thanks for any info.

Get the straight rails if you want to keep the nose down.

I run the 174" 16" 2.5 camo extreme and I wish my rails were straight. Even at 16-17 lbs boost in deep snow it is hard to keep the nose down.

M10 only way I'd go, three options I know of.

174 CR10 $5000 CAD
The New 174 Fast M10 Solid axle $3400 CAD
Racers Edge skid $2000 CAD + Ice Age rails Maybe $2500 ??

well the M-10 is nice, but the backer set up works the exact same way, actually it even looks identical to the rear of the M-10, there is not a lot of difference between the front arm of the M-10 and the stock skid, do you have a lot of ski pressure like to the point of where it wont lift the front skis at all ??

If you are running 20 lbs and are serious about using all that hp in the steep and deep the M10 is the way to go, plain and simple. Get the JACK for adjustability and you can dial it in for the trails and crank it down for the steep stuff.

I just have the stock rear suspension, I need to straighten the stock rails or get some different ones. In most conditions it does very well but in the real steep and real deep it does not shine.

I have ridden turbo sleds with the m-10 set up right and there is a big diffenence, in keeping the nose down.

Don't get me wrong, mine gets around pretty well but not like it could.

I will probably straighten out my stock rails before I buy new ones to save money and just to see how it works.
