163 or 155

Which on do you like better? I bought the 163 and although i like it, im struggling to get used to it. My style of riding is aggressive trees, tight turns and jumping. Im finding that this lenth of sled in the jumps is always standing tall, no matter if i hit the brake in the air or not, the nose just wont come down. Do you think the 155 will be any better?

I have had this conversation and actually started a poll over it>http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=237387

As I found being 5'10 The 163 got up on the snow allot better on the cats I rode last year. But I could not get it to handle the way I wanted it to in the trees. I talked to Burandt at the snow show and he says the 155 is the best for all around riding. I found that taller and (heavier riders) Enjoy the longer tracks but they have more weight and body to throw the big machine around. So if your small and light or medium and fat like me 155. If you are tall, boosted, or a climber go 160's

Thanks for the info. Yeah im 5'8" and about 230 (pure muscle lol). I think if i give it a good season then i might like it. But the season has to come still. The snow this week should help. I hope.

if you can handle a 163" the extra length is awesome!!! I'm a big boy so throwing the 163 is easy. I bought a used 163 setup and put it under my dragon. If you are a smaller guy the 155" is good.

Now on the Pro, that is a whole different discussion..... F-bomb thinks they shouldn't even sell a 155" in the Pro.

I think i was actually talkin to you about trading tracks. Is this Harrison?

play with your suspension and your handlebar position..makes a dramatic difference in how the sled performs...and there is no perfect spot..it is very individual to the rider..just experiment out in the trees one day till it works how you want it too...

I rode both last weekend

admitting that we have crappy snow I rode both the 155 and 163 back to back on the same slopes and in the trees last weekend.

I'd take the 155. On just a few days the 163 will run a little better in the powder but the rest of the season the balance of the 155 will make riding more fun.

I'm 6 foot and 230 lbs, add gear and make it 255 when riding. Stil it was much easier to get the 155 headed back up hill from either going down or sidehilling.

I suppose with enough practice I could make the 163 work but the 155 just worked nautrally from the first moment.

And you must be Casey!

No hard feelings if you do end up swapping someone for a 155"!!!!!!
This is Casey. Im not sayin i want the 55 yet but after getting in some deep i will make that call. Im just not crazy about climbing, i dig it yeah but i like to be able to chuck my **** around. Im getting the feelin that the 63 might be a bit much. We will see tho. Might just hang on to it and get me a pro too. Give the D to the wife.

I have a 155 and honestly, I don't think there's that much difference. I wanted a 155 just because I love to see how far off the ground I can get. It really depends on what kind of riding you do most. If you like to jump, but nothing too big, then the 163 will be just fine, but if you start sending it 150+ then the 155 will shine.

For me, 155, unless turbo'ed, then 163.

All my sleds are now 155s or 153s.

Ya I figured most older guys would say 155;) LMAO

I spent a day on a 144 a few yrs ago and it was fun! The 155 is great but on those deep deep days that I live for I want my 163 no question! On those days I just want to ride not spend all my energy getting myself and my buddies unstuck.

Old!? Let's go ride...young man! ha!

Dude with 2 good shoulders you couldn't hang with me!! And I'm fat and lazy!!

I may not ride much anymore but I've been watching the pro's on the race track so I'm pretty sure no one will be able to hang with me much anymore! Plus my pro has a pipe remember!!?? And I put a special helix in that is good for an additional 75hp and 50 more mph track speed!! And on top of all that it's orange so that means it's a 2012 pro and they come outa the box with 25% more hp than the 11 pro and 12 assaults!

Long story short Kimberly if you wanna school someone you better invite rock or duner they don't have sleds so you gotta shot with them!!!

Ps I hate you for making the snow wait for your recovery!! That was very selfish!
