16" wide track in MM

I currently have a 151"x15" track in my Mod Mountain Max and am looking to upgrade to a 154"x16" track i picked up, was wondering if this would work? And if so what size drivers would be best for the job?

Thanks in advance

I am currently running a 159x16x2.5 on my MM Mod. Essentially all that you have to do is grind two bolts on the inner tunnel that bolt your chaincase to the chassis and your rear drop brackets need to be notched to alow the track to pass through. I am running 8tooth 2.52 anti-rachet drivers and they seem to work well. I believe there is a write up on totallyamaha.com that explains in the tech section.

yes

i did the same you have to change the rear brackets were yer suspention bolts up the very last set i got mine out of SLP and use steel rivets along with 4 grade 8 bolts on the corners mke sure its gunna hold BUT it WILL be worth it oh and the ski-doo 154 is over 2 inch so dont forget the drivers are 8 tooth 2 inch is max i put anti rachet save side need more in fo le me know

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure your 154x16 would be a 2.86 pitch and your current 151 track would be a 2.52 pitch. You'd likely have to go to a 7 tooth 2.86 driver and clearance would be very tight. Youd be better off with a 151x16 then you would not have to change drivers and it woulddnt have major clearance issues. It would still be pretty tight though.
I have a spare MM with a 159x16x2.25" challenger lite 2.52 pitch takeoff doo track. I belive they made that 2.52 pitch challenger lite in a 151x16x2.25 factory for Ski Doo on the 06 summits. There should be some takeoff units floating around out there.

I am running a 151/16/2.25 on my mountain max, My chain case is dropped and rolled best thing you can do,running extroverts,40/22 gears. Ido not know if you have a stock tunnel, but if you do watch for your heat exchangers and rear mounting brackets. you should be able to out climb a lot of bigger machines if every thing is done right. good luck.

Well 154x16 track install is complete...8 tooth anti ratchet drivers...rail extensions with an 8" big wheel kit...using a Polaris skid so it's so lite...pretty much went right in...I do hav an aftermarket tunnel so clearance is tight but good. This thing flat out climbs like a cat up a tree. Gonna do a little gear adjustment and I have a boondocker ready to go in. Full fab craft front end...Polaris primary...it was the best mod I could have done to an already bad to the Bone Yami ...I love this sled

Post a picture mister! Id love to see it. My son has a MM 700 with my full hillclimb 700 mod motor, and a 163x16x2.3"er in it, with a Ekholm tunnel. Drop and roll, etc. Doo skid... I cant believe how great it handles! And, it rips awesome.

They do. They are Cat chassis, with the Nytro 1050 engines in them, and yamaha clutching and electronics. Ugggh. I seriously cant believe it. I will have to try one I guess, or see one. If you you tube it, there is videos of the 2014s. :face-icon-small-hap
