156" challenger tracks

I'm trying to track down the track that came on my '02 Edge. It is the snowcheck'd model with the 156x2 camoplast challenger (I can read that molded into the track itself).

The paddle pattern looks like this:

The 156 camoplast track listed on tracksusa.com and other sites look like this:

The first design looks much stronger and less apt to fold over or bend the paddles. None of mine are bent with 2k miles. The 2nd track above looks to be alot weaker and more prone to bending. I have a few paddles missing so I'm trying to find the exact replacement track, and to get an estimate on replacement.

Did camoplast change their paddle design or am I mistaken on what track I believe is on the sled? 159's seem cheaper and more track styles available ... I wonder if I could fit a 156 with a big wheel kit onto the 156 rails?

They changed the paddle design.

A 159 will be just fine on a 156 skid, especially if you've moded it back an inch.

i had the 156 like your first picture. nice enough track but durability sucked. had torn paddles after the second trip out west. if i was you i would get a 159 and either use a big wheel kit and offset axle (offset to the back) or do a 1" setback.

Is the new challenger style that much more durable? It looks visually less strong but maybe I'm wrong...

its stronger beacuse its weaker ha . the first design the paddles would rip off insead of bending over. with the new design they bend before they break . i have a 156 2.5 camo on my sled and it kicks A$$ and was way more durable then my old mavrick

Go with the 159x2x15 challanager. I ran it on my 02' rmk Case Ported 800 and loved it. If you have the chaincase rolled then go with a 2.5 inch lug cause you will like it even better. The challanger is stiffer then the Polaris track and people tend to think that stiff is bad but I ran it for four years and it worked better then any other track I had been around with comparable length and lug height.

Put a big wheele kit on your 156 skid and you will be able to run the 159 with no probs. that is what I did because I did not want to purchase new rails when I upgraded to the Challanger.

The Polaris 166x2.4x15 is kick ***!! (if you can spin it)
