Anyone have any experience with these 180hp kits. Seems like a decent deal for 1500$

I have ridden these sleds and I feel they will do everything I would want but I am not a big hill climber. My idea of fun is to hit the hills covered in trees on a nice deep day so huge power is not the best. It still had no problem lifting the skis even in powder.

Im sold on the 180hp, just not sure if it will be MPI,MCX,PUSH. I have heard some rumors that IMPULSE is talking about building the 180hp.

That is a deal.
Is it for a Nytro or what?? Will it fit past models? I know push turbo was doing something with yami dealers, but the kit is $4k.

I think it's $1500.00 + the install. Not sure if you can do the install yourself or not. It's the way to go for the 2012.

i dont know where you are getting the 1500 dollars from i work at a yami dealer and they are 3995 last i heard at 1500 dollars every tom dick and harry would have one and boosted sleds arent for everyone ... i was just reading in the boosted forum a guy has a done up ape and is asking how to change the oil like really come on

I think it's only an option from the USA dealers. Here are the details:

Correct if you order 2012 model at full retail price it is 1500 for charger + install labor. So If you go buy left over 2010 or 11 or whatever you can not get charger for 1500 you have to pay the stated price before of 4000.
Just marketing scheme in my opinion to help sell new ones since there are so many leftovers cheap. If you do the math i have seen leftover 2010's for 8000 plus tax. (but you have tax on top of the 2012 retail price also) add 4g turbo and your at 12g, retail on 2012 is what about 12600 plus 1500 then say 400 for install. Big price difference for graphics.

oh ok i understand sorry about that guys didnt mean to make anyone mad but i still stand behind the fact that if you cant wrench on your own sled then you dont need a turbo or supercharger

Many dealers are selling the MPI 180 kit for about $3000. 4G is the MSRP. The install is simple. I did mine myself and I do not know much about engines. If you follow the detailed instructions, there isnt much you can mess up.

To get the kit for 1500 you have to pay full msrp for a new 2012 sled. That more than makes up for difference of buying a deeply discounted new 2010 or 2011 and adding the kit yourself. Also install takes 8 to 10 hours so shop rate install is between seven and nine hundred.

By the way, I love my kit. It has run perfect from the first start. I added the cold air intake and it consistantly makes 8-9lbs.

I saw an add on craigslist for a new 2010 153 for 8000 and a 163 for 8400 from a dealer out of spokane about a month ago. Seen a few other around similar price over the last 4 months.

I picked up a 09 for $7600 a year later 10 for $11200. If i can get another 10 for $8000 thats what i will be buying.....

Sorry was partially wrong add was for Longview Washington dealer. Procaliber motorsports i think. new 2010 nytro mtx 153se for 7599.
Here is the number to the add Jim 866-318-7082

Thanks for the info. I will give them a call; you cant go wrong for that price. How's the snow in Baker? Nice place, i bought my 09 nytro there.

I've heard its been great from friends halfway was deep this weekend. ha cant get up there myself this year do to injuries hence the reason not buying this for myself. Where you from

BOOST

To keep the factory warranty it has to be installed by a authorized yamaha dealer or the warranty is voided. That is for the 180HP Push Turbo and MPI Supercharger
