Well it seems pretty clear at this point that most agree that it would be worth it. My local dealer doesn't think so. He is a 144" fanatic. He doesn't believe in gear changes either though. Thats why I needed to ask about this out here on the forum!
I suppose going from the 144"x2" to the 151"x2.4" would need a small gearing change, right? I don't care about top speed. This sled never goes over 45 mph and that is for a very short distance.
My dealer says that if I gear down from the stock gearing I'll just spin myself a trench I will have to dig out of. Isn't there some kind of formula for determining the proper gearing for a specific track length and lug height with a rider of a certain weight on it?
A 151"x15"x2.4" is like $775. Ouch!
