144 on the 600

Have a 99 600 runs great. Need a little more flotation for the wife and daughter who mainly ride it. I have a camo 136x2 on it which it turns fine.

Question is what kind of gearing do I need to run a 144x15 or 16? It's not going to be used for all out hillclimbs so I don't care if I'm loosing track speed just need the extra flotation for the heavy-*** rear suspension in this machine so the girls don't get stuck as easy.

We ran 144's in alot xlt's. They were also 600's and turned the 144's just fine. We gearred them around 2:10-2:20 and worked very well. Good luck. Your kids will love that.

I would go 19/43 with a 72 link chain.

If you go to a 144 just do a 4" skid setback and the 144 will fit right in. Helps attack angle alot.

we have a 153 on my moms 600 works ok i think it needs more track so were puting a 162 under it for this year
