'14 Pro oil 40:1 from dealer

I haven't asked them if they tweaked the oil pump, but just did a short ride: 3.64 gallons of gas, 12 oz. of oil, for about 39:1. Very odd, but I guess I'm ok with it.

Unfortunately, it's probably good that it's at that ratio, since I had to tow my buddy's seized assault out!

Thats good to know, Im at 3 turns in on my oiler screw. After 3 rides I'm averaging 40ish:1

Do you know how many threads are sticking up above the set nut on the oiler screw?

Wouldn't towing a dead sled require more throttle that would account for the consumption?

Maybe--it was about a 20 minute tow, not too bad, out of a couple hours of run time. I'll check it again on the next ride. However, I've been having to add a full quart for all day rides.

Temps held right at 127 for the tow, also, even though it was hardpack and I had the scratchers down.

I also checked the quickdrive belt halfway through the tow, and it was at ambient temperature--no heat at all. Very surprising (my buddy is a big guy!).

how hot was the top pulley?

My Aasault was 47:1 on the first ride, and looks to be about the same for the second. I'm happy with that from the dealer/factory.

Yeah 47:1 I would not have touched mine either, but it was at the very edge of the "v" mark, around 75-1
