136" turbo pro???

So I've been doing some research. Have seen a bunch of 146" converted pro's. But nothing shorter. Has anyone done anything shorter? Looking at a pro for a back up sled and think it would be super fun shortened up! Thinking 136-137" would be the ticket. One big question for the guys with the 146's even. Did you have to move the drop down brackets? Thinking I would have to. I long tracked an IQ 600 144 to a 155 using a factory rear skid. The drop down brackets had to be moved about 3".

Thanks for any help!

a 136 is a great trail sled but its limited to some what hard packed snow, fresh 4' = stuck. I have a 136" 2003 prox , its been a fun sled on trail and limited off trail rideing in the northeast. I really helps with bumpy trails later in the day, traction is also improved over the 121 sleds. 144 with tip up rails isn't a bad option for a build also. strait rail 144 -146 is a little slower turning but manageable on hardpack snow. I have a 144 Assault with strait rail that I 50% trail ride, the skid is a Carve XC not the stock Polaris skid.

I rode a 144" 600 for a few years. It'll be more of a back up, early/late season sled. Ill have a turbo 155" for the deep days. But this sled will be turbo'ed too

I have done two Pro Rmk 137", its the funnest sled i ever had, including turbo pro rmk 155" :)

This one was done on an new assault 800 155" 2015.

Rails is custom iceage bomber 137" rails and stock rmk parts.
37" frontend, and I have added the front cooler.

I remember when 136 was a deep snow sled... stretched my 99 600 / 700 RMK to a 144 and thought I had "da bomb". Made you a better rider keeping it unstuck in the deep stuff. Now a 136 or 144 is a trail sled. LOL.

That's one wicked sled! Looks like a lot of fun.

When you ordered the rails. Did you have to move the drop down brackets at all?

Ever have any problems with that set up?

How did you get the end piece out of the running board to cut it down?

The drop down brackets is in the stock position.
No problems, the sled has 1700kilometers now.

The end piece is glued, so only some heat and its easy to remove, i cut the part off first, so the heat dont mess upp the paint.

Nice! Good info. How much did you cut off the tunnel?

We have done a few sets of 137 Pro rails over the years. Asker's sled being one of them!

If anyone is interested in building a setup, we can make the rails for you no problem!

This is awesome. That 137" is slick. 136"s make great mountain sleds, just not high markers. I rode a 700 crossfire 136" X 2" for a couple years as my main mountain sled. I'd really like to do a pro like the one above
