13/14 burandt boards

anybody know of a better price on the burandt black boards kit for the 13/14 pro than 300$ plus tax from my dealer?

Just a heads up on the buradnt boards. You have to buy the glue and get the stock boards apart and then glue the buradnt boards to the front and rear pieces. So even after you pony up for the boards you have alot more money in the glue and time invested to heat the glue and get old boards apart. In the end if your dealer will sell them and install them for $300 I think that is a steal. Otherwise I would be looking at airframes for a little bit more money just to have bolt on and off boards.

thanks phatty, I was thinking of putting the 13/14 boards on my 08 rmk and like the black of the burandt hd boards but what a hassle, dealer didn't say anything about needing the end pieces, thanks again for the heads up

I believe Phatty is misinformed, read why below

Since when? To my knowledge they come "complete" (with ends, pre-glued in, all the rivets and hardware, including template and instructions). While I have not bought the Burandt boards, because I will not powder coat aluminum. I have bought enough pairs of stock take off boards to know what I'm talking about. About half the people I've bought the stock boards from, shipped them in the Burandt box (that is big enough that they have to come with the ends glued on) with the instructions, template, and new hardware (as they reused the brand new stock sled hardware). The promo pics show just the board portion, but that is not how they come. FYI

P.S. The list price for the Burandt's is now $299. Last year they were $249.00 retail. Here is the description from the Pure Polaris website, ***Note that it says that the front and rear attachments are adhesive bonded to the board. Not that they need to be bonded.

"Strong, durable Burandt’s HD Powder Trac™ Boards let extreme riders take their riding to the next level. These beefy extruded aluminum running boards provide the greatest strength made of 6061-T6. They provide a rider with secure footing the full length of the boards during extreme riding.Extruded aluminum design with a machined profile. Secure Front and rear attachment with castings that are adhesive bonded. Designed for quick snow evacuation and to prevent ice build-up. Removable and serviceable running board assembly.

Sold as a pair."

Those that have actually purchased them can chime in here too, but I saw them hanging on the wall at the dealership just last week and they were complete with ends already bonded. Ripalip check out TRS's recent post about fitting them on the IQ chassis. Very simple to do, a small adapter for the front attachment is needed but pretty simple to make. TRS gives a good description and pics of the install. Clean and very functional on the IQ as well.

I have bought two sets of Burandt boards.

They are complete, no need for gluing.

Super easy install.

The pieces I got were not complete. It was a major PITA! I did pick mine up in the summer of 2012 though before the 2013's were even delivered to the dealers. Glad to hear they are coming complete now! If thats the case It should be a super easy install for ya.

the boards come complete, just cut the old ones off and rivet the new ones on. Give Michelle a call at Oregon trail sports in Baker City, she will have the best price. Don't quote me but I believe i paid around $230 shipped to my doorstep.
