1200 Brp 4 Stroke

torque??

it says somewhere around 100 ish torque....... & we're around 94. I don't think they'll stay together anymore than their xpee or the 07's. they just have too much chit on the go to build a good product anymore. design is there, but they don't care about the customer anymore............. great for us though if it makes Yammy keep raising the bar!!!!

T

ok just compared my FX Nytro RTXer with reverse to there 4 stroke witch also come with reverse both shortys xp 1200 509lbs dry fx nytro 521lbs dry thats only 11lbs so i dont think doo has anything on yammie after seeing that, so it makes you wonder what there motor weights, well find out later this year.

Lmfao

What you guy's have here is a machine no one here has (in person)seen, touched, heard run...ect , and it's not even a MTN. sled. Yet with that being said, most of you have no problem bashing it, and saying it will never compare to the Yammi, sucks, and so on. It's funny to watch. I think the real problem is that you guy's might be worried that it could end up in a MTN. chassie, sporting a tubo or 2 on a hill near you in the not so distant future???

I would love to be there the first day a new spooled up doo 4 stroke rolls up to the hill, just to see the expression on the Apex dudes face. I bet it would read...holy crap....I hope that isn't what I think it is. While the rest of us say,"here is another dude that spent entirely to much $"....lol

God bless you Yammi guy's for building these over weight, over HP, niche market, over priced monsters. Soon to probably provoke yet another manufacturer in the mix.

P.S. I wrote this only to induce more arguement on the subject..............:D:beer;

quote Carlos "I think the real problem is that you guy's might be worried that it could end up in a MTN"
Fug no dude! You gotter all wrong here! Now that Doo and who know's maybe "Cat" have thumpers this will only make Our future yami's THAT MUCH BETTER!...........cause yu know Yamaha will stay ahead of the others inm relibality,weight,power etc! Look what happened to the 4 stroke thumper motocrossers!!

I do see what happend to the MX bikes! The Yammi gets it's a$$ kicked by a Black dude riding a Kawi....lol Or By the GOAT riding the yellow menace. Good point!

Yah but if it wasn't for yamaha the black guy wouldn't have had such a high teck thumper to ride. Competition is what we needed to get these sleds down to the 2 stroke weights. I look forward to the next 10 years of sleds!:beer;

I get where your going with that.........and understand that competition=developement, it always has, nothing new to cover there:beer;

I am just poking a little fun at you dudes who ride those spooled yammi's, and how the end of there 4stroke turbo hill climbimg dominance could be in the near future. I will give yamaha credit, after they got smoked for so long in the 2stoke market, they decided to move on to a new frontier (4 stroke). Now when the other big three get on board in that class and are no longer the big dog they might move on to some thing else.....can anyone say "highbred"......man imagine the torque out of that electric motor.....sweet....:light::light::light: Now that would be true Jap inovation LOL.

I will stick with my 2010 compliant 2 stroke thanks, and for the future anyone heard of BRP's E-tec DI motors. To each their own I guess.

They are to some degree. All 4 push the envelope of tech. all becasue we
whine about them making the same sled, two years in a row. We want cutting
edge ever year and allow them no time to refine a good design. Yamaha is
in a league of their own in that department, it's a Japanese company, all their
products are good, just not for everyone.

Maybe you should think before you type, I am sure anyone of us would buy the best product no matter the brand. It just so happens that Yammi is the best and probably will be for a long time yet! So smoke another doo-bee:beer;

imagine if honda jumped into the sled game? they would be the wildest thing on snow! i would buy one.

whats wrong with honda? seems to me they built a excellent product! if there sleds last as long as my wifes accord did, we would never have to buy another sled for a very long time.

Thats exactlly why the Yammis are so good. They have the honda like reliability, you buy one and spend a little more for something that will last twice as long as the others.

For all the money BRP gets from us canadian taxpayers they should have the best in everything. Competition is good for us consumers but the gov shouldn't bail out the companies that claim they can't compete in the global market. My .02 worth

The literature that I have seen shows a graph directly comparing it with the Nytro. And btw the vector is no more! Glad to see them trying to better themselves though.

They are comparing it to the Nytro because it makes them look better. At least they arent comparing it to a 10yr old sled like Yammi did. And when did the Vector disappear? For 08 they moved it to the Apex chassis, gaining a considerable amount of weight in the process.

And its good for everyone. We all win when new tech is introduced. Just a matter of time before all the good stuff will be on all sleds.

One thing is for certain, Doo is trying hard to keep up the hype, hopefully the other 3 have sleds that are just as innovative, but actually work.
