12' dies every 100'

You have a short on your grip heaters, check the wires on the handlebars.
Very easy, the wire will be pinched and connecting to the handlebars.

Mine did this twice

I have had this happen on two separate occations and both times it was a bad voltage regulator. Replacing it remmedied the problem with about 1200 miles in between. The intervals between the sled dying varied between 100' and 1/2 mile while running depending on ground speed and the amount of fresh air cooling the regulator. On cold starts I would get quite a bit farther before it would go down the first time, then more frequent as it heated up. I had egt's on the sled and would see them go out about 5 seconds before the dash and next would be the sled running out of fuel from the dropping power to fuel pump. I would seriously check out the regulator before anything else.

Had the sled up again today. This time it was only an hour before it died. I unplugged all the bar wires except the tps. Tried blowing out the tps switch. Found that it would run if I kepth the rpm's up (3 min wot side hill no prob) but below 5k rpm it would die. Thinking more and more that it could be a fuel pump going bad as ghost said. It actually died the minute I let off the throttle on the truck and did it for the dealer while plugged to the computer and he didn't see any codes. We will see what he says.

The 2011 and up PRO's (800 CFI-2) use a completely different type of voltage regulator than the 2007-2010 IQ Raw's and 2005-2006 700/900's used. The 2011 and newer use an AC-DC voltage regulator.

Well, sled did it again....ran like a top for an hour or two and then shut down. Limped it back to the cabin and waited 30 min and ran it hard again. I did crack the gas cap a few times but didn't hear any pressure or vacuum. Hoping to swap out the reg and see if that does it.

Final post....had it up again today. Used my plastic tunnel to keep the regulator packed in snow and it only died twice today once the snow was melted out. Re-loaded the snow and it fired right up. So, dealer has another Regulator on the way.

Keep running with a bad Voltage regulator there is possibility of destroying your ECU, could even casue severe engine damage or a fire and 1200 dollars to Tony Reece. Hope you found your issue, nothing worse than not knowing.
