There's a turbo four stroke that weighs the same as the axys 800 but produces 400hp. You think that wouldn't sell?
And what does that motor cost?
Lifespan? At high load climbing?
Got any links?

But the chassis without the motor is by far the lightest. If they dropped the current yami motor in their chassis it would be the lightest 4 stroke on the market, so why not developed something similar? They could be the lightest mountian sled in every class still, and get back the chunk of the market that has gone to yami since they teamed up with cat and put a halfway decent chassis around their motor.
everybody is a buradnt these days.
Its got to be fake. They never did make a mountain triple so why are they asking people if they missed it?
Wait.. the XLT (Extra Light Triple) was a trail machine that ate cranks for breakfast. The Ultra RMK 680 was the "mountain sled" triple. Neither one ever performed great.. The Ultra was a brick in deep snow, but i did love the sound. However the best sounding sled of all time is the 93' RXL 650, hands down winner!

He's probably talking about the nissan one https://www.wired.com/2014/01/nissan-3-cylinder-le-mans/
So 88# without the turbo.
Probably only a $200k motor.
That should sell well.
ultra might have bankrupted a few owners but polaris made good profit on it.The xlt came with a single pipe and did not eat cranks rode with quite a few back in the day...that was the Ultra that just about bankrupted Polaris
I'm going to say it's a $20 motor since we're both making numbers up.
Why would that motor cost more to manufacture than any of the current four stroke offerings?
Nissan will be using that engine in production vehicles in the next couple years. NASCAR comparisons are pointless as those aren't used in production vehicles.
Any links showing this?
Like I said before.

Nope. Too lazy to research it again and I don't care if you believe me.
