1100T Weight Loss Program

So what are the best items to lose some weight on this sucker? I know getting rid of the stock silencer is a must but not sure after that. I couldn't find a thread that shows how much each item will lose and what product to get plus the price.

MT, what size, what brand, and where did you buy it at?

I assume your talking battery...I would call racinstation (Eric) for the battery...I went with Ballistic performance battery, and I went with the 8 cell....it weights 1.7 lbs. has a three year warranty...also just be prepared that a lithium battery is different than lead acid in how it handles things like extreme cold...literally the chemicals have to be woken up, which translates to needing a current draw to them I.e. turning engine over a couple times, then waiting a few minutes or, as I did, create a switch to a hand warmer that I turn on, then get gear ready (2-3 minutes) then fire her right up....again, only needed in extreme cold, or if sled has sat for a long time in extreme cold...

my muffler, is Skinz....

Gets a bit expensive to drop weight after the battery, hood, and exhaust are changes out. Rear skid will save some weight, cant quite remember but a full timbersled skid with carbon fiber rails is close to 10lbs lighter.

This is the stuff I have done. Tried to do what most customers would do without spending a ton of money.

8-cell ballistic battery relocated to front of sled and shortening all the wires and removing metal battery case from rear. -12 lbs
WRP m8 seat with storage pouch where battery used to be. -4 lbs
Full EVO exhaust. -10 lbs (didnt actually weigh this)
Remove all four idler wheels from skid, I never ride trails. -5lbs
Remove all hood foam and some extra plastic. -1 lb
Diamond S hood (no head lights). -14lbs

Total loss -46lbs, easy inexpensive weight loss.

The stock hood weighs just over 19lbs. The diamond S hood is about 5lbs. Have also installed a C3 carbon fiber hood and they weigh 15 oz, so you can save about 4 more pounds with the CF hood.

Working on what to do with the suspension weight loss. Waiting for my Ti front arms and spindles, that should give close to 8lbs. Trying to decide if I want Ti rear.

The Black Diamond gas tank saves 4 lbs or you can get the C3 CF gas tank that saves a bit more. then there is carbon fiber tunnel and belt drive for ultimate in weight loss.

IMO, the best thing you can do is more power. If I had $3000 to spend on weight loss or a Big Chute turbo kit, it would definitley be the big power. You will get WAY more bang for your buck with the power adders.

I dont own a 1100 but after owning a Nytro MTX and dumping $2500 into lightweight parts it was still a overweight pig and a waste of $2500. Unless there is a easy way to shave 60 lbs or more off the nose of these 4 strokes IMO adding more boost is the only way to make the sled feel lighter.
