Well broke a ring on my engine and decide to put a bikeman 1100 kit on it.
Installed the kit and did a bunch of other stuff to it and wouldn't you know it it was too cold to try it. Warmed up some today and tried it out for the first time. Will have to do some tuning but I think it will do ok:D. I'm running the stock 05 mapping with twin pipes. Going out this weekend so will see how it does.

If your real nice I will tow you up to the top so you can see what it looks like from there.....:D:beer;

I hope you don't have to tow me any where.
But if so right on. And get pictures.

I have been thinking the same--after looking at bikemans 2 kits for the 1000---the 1150 has more bang for the buck than the 1250. Plus you can do the 1150 kit at home--they need you to ship the whole motor to them for the 1250 I believe.

Personally--I would ditch the twins--but that is just me.

Let us know how hard it rips when you are done and if you get her running good with them twins.

H20SKE...

I would highly recommend the 07 mid alt program with the twins. E-rave engagement/dis-engagement rpm's are a better match (at least on the non big bore).

X2 on this, bigtime!

I'd also install the 08 800R XP inline t-stat. Some of the 1100's had cold sieze issues.

And fatten up the midrange with the boony box!!

I was one of the lucky ones and it has alway run good. Didn't even blow belts stock. When I put the pipes on it I had to add 6 grams of weigh to get the R's back where they should have been. But other than that it ran good till it broke a ring and the only way I found that was going to put heads on it.

So I ran it today and put about 8 gallons of gas through it. Need to finish the jetting. Started really fat so by the middle of the ride had leaned it out enough to run. The motor pull's:D. I'm not sure what horsepower it's pushing but more than it was stock with twin pipes. I put the thermostat in it and seem's to keep the engine temp better. Will have to finish getting it tuned in and see what it will do.

Well rode again thursday and have put about 90 miles on it now. Still running it rich but slowly getting it right. So far I really like it. Off to work for six weeks so will order some parts and try and finish tuning in April. Will update as I ride it more in April.
Cheers.
