I have a 09 XP 146X, and it seems like either the power valves are not opening or the timing is off. Under load the R's wont go above 7700-7800 and it makes a weird sound, kinda like one of the plugs is going out, and you have to clean out the motor. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Have your DPM checked. It may be clogged. Mine was on my new 09 163" and your issues sound the same. I asked the dealer about the DPM and they didn't know anything about it. Then a day later they called and received a notice from Ski-Doo. They took it out and cleaned it all up. They said that they wiped it down and sprayed some W-D40 in it. Now it's running fine.
Here's where I found out about the issue. These guys keep a good track of stuff.

If your new ‘09 Summit is down on rpm up high, but is a rocket on the trail and you can’t bring it back to life with the clickers, it may be a stuck solenoid on your DPM rail. tap on it with a wrench lightly and that may be all it takes to break it loose. We have heard some reports from ‘Doo about this.
