09 Turbo

I'm working with a couple BIG name turbo shops (as in the FASTEST guys around) for a kit...but I'm only working the 1200 4-tec...I have 146/16/2.25 track kits in the works to summitize a renegade!!-BJ

Sweet Cant Wait To Pick Up A Kit. Bj, Are You Gonna Have A Kit For Anything Longer Than A 146??? Prob Since Its In The Making, We Wouldnt Know What Hp Is Gonna Be Hey??? Thanks Steve

I have got to give it to you guys who are going to guinea pig these sleds. I hope it works out. I was considering getting one, but I really don't think some critical parts will stand up to the power. What is the plan for Drive shafts, clutches, chains, tracks etc. If they can't handle 150 hp, what is 280 hp gonna do?

Basically from what I saw on display at the JH hillclimb, they're the same, except they put wider panels on for the extra clearence needed for motor/exhaust.
As far as a 146" under a turbo'd 1200. Better than 137" for traction on the trail, but in the powder? Might want to up that to a 163" for the weight/power.

I know the 146/16/2.25 kit isnt the biggest...but for the Renegade guy (usually a boondocker/jumper anyway) its HUGE VS the 137/16/1.75...BJ

I have a 163" powder track and suspension off my 08 Summit X, only 218 miles on it, this would be a great extension to the Turbo guys, only $975 shipped USA.

I am hearing you Neil, that is why I am leaning towards a Nytro. (proven)...As much as I like my XP, & I know I would absolutely love it with double hp. I am somewhat suspect about just what you have stated....You ***gers are going to convert me yet (again).lol

don't have to convert ya again buddy, you've always had that little yammi light burning inside of you.lol lol it's a fun little sled. I got Baker wanting me to get it up to his shop for a little surgery. Just deciding what I want to do on it.

So what you're telling us is that Yamaha designed the components on their sleds to be withstanding the constant abuse of over 300 HP? Somehow I don't think that was in the cards when they started designing the 4-stroker...... The stock skid on the 08 Nytro sags so bad and most guys have swapped them out for various other reasons. Guess everyone has their weaker points.....

Hey just asking what the plan is... I never said Yammie was built for boost, but the particular parts I was asking about stand up pretty well on the Nytro and the Apex. Well except for the tracks. I would actually like to know, I am not taking a run at the Doo for its shortcomings. Are you telling me that you would double the horsepower of these sleds and not think twice about the chain or the driveshaft? You are alot more brave than I am. I have had my go around with Doo and made peace with it, if you guys want to continue to be guinea pigs, be my guest...you are more brave and have more patience than I!!!
