09 m8 vs. 10 m8

could you throw me some dry weight/vs hp figures? Thanks.

Wasn't sure the difference in the two years as far as chassis and horsepower.

Same weight add 15hp for 2010.

2010 Crankshaft is 4 ish? lbs lighter than 09.....hard to find concrete Dry weight/HP numbers, everywhere you look its a different story it seems....Bottom line they both haul azz!

Crank is lighter seat is lighter and a few smaller weight losses but all weight loss is cancelled out by new huge muffler that is about 10lbs heavier. Good news is you lose alot of weight with a can on the 010.

the 10 has about 15 more hp than the 09 and i think its about 10 lbs heavier also, mostly due to the huge can.
the 10 has frogskins on the front of the hood 1 screen in the center hole of the hood over the clutch and no screen in the center hole over the exhaust, multiple small sections of glued on foam on the inside of the hood for sound dampening instead of two huge pieces of dampening material held on by a whole lot of clutch eating metal clips, a silicone seal/gasket around the exhaust outlet, and a funny looking high rise seat.

Im thinking about trading up to a 2010 in a few months.

Wondering if its worth it.
