09 M1000 or 10 M8?

stock to stock, 2010 M. As for mods, 09 and newer m1000. Thinking turbo- 09 m8. the 2010 turbos are finicky, but may be worked out by next season. If your power hungry just get the 09 m1000 then full pipe, then turbo. I will never ride without egts again. (cost way more not to have them)

A question...Why only 09 and up 1000? I know that the 07-08 were not as light (DD) and the 07 had the 4 post and heavy rear skid. But you can get dirt cheap 07&08's with low miles and mod to your liking / performance level. My 07 sp 153 I got for 5G last year put a PCIII and SLP pipe/Y/can on with timber intake. Have right at $6000 into the sled (good deals on after market). After about 800mi I have not touched it and it will kill a 10 m8. What are your thoughts?

I am going to get the 8 and ride the piss out of it. No extra motor mounts or fuel controllers or egts or potential belt blowers... Got too burnt on all the mods last time around and at this point don't want a project sled.



--At least do $30 bolt-on motor mount and save $100 belt!
