is this what i can expect? 40-45 mph. i guess the snow was heavy. probably 1.5 to 2 feet of fresh heavy wet snow we were riding in. just didnt climb as well as i thought it would. sled all stock except can. 6-8 ft riding. 80 grams/ with cat yellow/green spring, 36 helix, hi torque rollers, and shift assist with 046 belt. should have tried the 060. rpms were no lower than 7250 and did see 7400-7450 at times but mostly in that 7300-7350 range. im around 200 lbs with no gear. would lowering the gears help some with track speed? thanks. btw.. excellent snow at valemount, bc... temps were quite warm though.

SLP or Speedwerx pipe, fuel controller, and a good clutching setup really wakes up the M1000.

Shoulda bought a 162...

ok didnt know that was normal. its going to be getting something for next winter to up the power some more. thanks for the replies.

my track speed on my 07 m1000 is more like 52-52 mph

I have a y pipe and can. that is before I had the 09 reflash done 51-52 mph

i put the slp ypipe, pipe, can, slp air intake ,slp clutching and the commander 3 fuel mapping on my 09 m1000 and it is a blast.. i have the 153 track.. im thinking about doing the exact same thing with a 162 track next season. i will keep both.also looking to put on the slp powder pros skis

I rarely see over 50 mph with mods, the PC hooks up that much harder, used to see 55-60 on the 07 but it wont do what the 09 will.

Mine with a PC track and 162 used to get 40-42 all the time. My 2010 M8 gets about the same, but stays on the snow better.

My 09 M8 153 turns 44-46 mph in 18-24" of heavy snow and 47-49 mph in the dry fluffy stuff. between 6-7,000 ft. My friends 07 M8 with a 162 powerclaw turns 39-40 mph on the same hills and can't keep up with me. I would think a M1000 should be turning around 50 mph in heavy snow. If not then maybe it needs some clutching and/or gearing.
