09 Dragon Switchback 600 - Setting up for MTN riding.??

Trying to help out a friend that is looking to go on a trip out west with us. He rides an 09 600 Dragon Switchback

What are the basics he will need to get setup to ride 8k and above? (i.e. Clutch weights, springs) Part #'s would be awesome!

Will he need to gear down if he is installing a 2" track?.

I had an 07 switchback 600 what we did for going out west was change the clutch weights to 10-54's and changed the top gear to a 19 tooth. Worked great. I don't think it would be any different for your friends sled.
