The Skidoo shop told me that the handlebar riser and shalf all have to be in perfect alignment. I just need a little more height, and if I tilt just a little forward it would perfect. Does anyone see a problem with me doing this?

You can adjust them to anywhere you want.....just slightly forward of in-line with the steering post seems to work best for most.
