09 800 dragon compression

No update my 08d8 showed 115 and 112 (slight scoring) in St. Paul,MN. More or less at sea level. I didn't think that was very good.

My 03 700 VE had 125psi on each cylinder cold at about 1600'. I though this was low so I pulled it apart the other night and everthing looked perfect. Bought a set of wisecos and took the jugs in machine shop to clearance them for pistons. I will post compression results with wisecos in a few days. Im may be thinking of getting high compresssion head if I dont see a dramatic increase.
Rechecked mine with 140miles
snap-on #1 tester 97psi
snap-on #2 tester 110psi
El-cheapo 120psi
I think this is why we see so much difference in compression it's the gauges. I think the biggest thing to to record your compression , use the same tester each time, and cylinders should be even.
Last year had 125 psi on both at 2000', after update 110 psi with the same tester. should I have to run 91 octane now?
I would stick with 91, I've had mine go into detonation limb mode twice running 91 and the last time was with octane booster also. Only ever happened around the 6000rpm range.
I would say it went into limp mode at 6000 because it was crazy lean and caused detonation, not because of fuel quality

110 and 112 on my 09 dragon @ 8200ft after update.
I agree 100% but think that a better quality fuel should help a bit. Mines been running great other than the twice it went into limp mode.

Rechecked my 03 700 VE today after I installed the wisecos the other night, 140 & 142 snapon gauge. Not exactly sure how temp affects compression but it was bout 10 below 0 today when I check it. Was about 20 degrees when I checked it with stock pistons and they were 125 each.
