09 700 - bogs off and on

I've been driving my 700 RMK in Minnesota for a few weeks now, and it has a bog every once in a while. Usually when I need the power the most. When I try and go full throttle it'll bog with a "wah-wah-wah-wah-wah" then it will crack and go full throttle. I was making down hill turns in the woods by my place on some medium hills, with about 2 feet of good snow. When I'd go down and lean into the turn I'd crack the throttle, and it would bog pretty bad. Again, it does this randomly and not all the time! WHAT THE DEUCE!!

What are the reasons for a bog?

I was thinking possibly that it has bad gas in it.

Thanks, Jack. - Any info is appreciated.

Fuel pump, fuel filter? any thoughts? it's totally sporadic! typically bogs when I first go full throttle after running in the mid range for a while. after it bogs once, it clears up for a while. if i drive in the low to mid range for a while and try to go full throttle, it'll do it again.

Maybe I should go drive it in the shop tomorrow and put on the fuel pressure guage while I ride.

Fuel pump looks pretty expensive, so I'm hoping that's not the problem.

Again, any thoughts? They would be much appreciated!

Jack.

Had this happen to me before on a 07 700CFi. Wouldn't always open up to full throttle first crack at the throttle 7000 max. Feather the throttle and could get it to hold WOT for about 10-15 seconds at peak RPM then would bog down again. Crank locked up 15 miles later. Does it hold Peak RPM if you hold it there?

59 P.S.I. is what you want to see whether it's at idle or full throttle.

Schraeder valve fitting is up behind the air box.

My D7 would fall on it's face big time in the mid-range, felt like you hit the kill switch.

Installed the PC-3 and richened it up in the 5000-6000 R.P.M. range and solved it, sounds like your prob may be a little different????????

It's different than what you guys are describing. I'm going to 1. clean the exhaust valves and replace the gaskets. 2. check the clutch for any wear. 3. check the fuel pressure.

my 09 d8 does the same thing! i'm a new rider and would love to figure out what this is so i don't hurt my sled.
