why would you replace the secondary??:confused:.. The stock secondary is so good on this sled. It is the best secondary Ski Doo has ever made. Al and all the good clutch tuners will tell you this.. Have you ridden yours?? Keep it stock....:face-icon-small-win. I'm not sure a floating setup will be any better. Mine is lined up pretty darn good same with the others I've seen. The engine torquing is an issue but I have had no problems with belts since I cleaned out my clutches.. My 2 cents..:beer;
 
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I am convinced that the engine will move under load much the same as the rev chassis. Its just a matter of time before the belt cords start showing. If not at 100 miles, then at 300. Its the same issue as the rev. I'm still running a 2004 renegade 800X with the 1 3/4" lug track that has gone 5000 km's on its last belt. That belt is hanging on the wall with no uneven wear.
I will be installing the jackshaft conversion and the hyperlite. The only concern I have is getting the clutching as good as I can. This was to be expected anyway as I was going to run DJ's kit, but since he has none ready, I'll do it myself. It will be very similar to the kit in my 2004 renegade anyway. I also have 2 other buddies with the exact same sleds to compare to as we ride and test. Floating is the only way to go as far as I'm concerned untill someone proves it wrong and no one has yet......I'm hoping to be out this weekend as we got a good dump of snow in the Morinville area and north.....

Anyone got any recommendations for clutching in primary for a 2008 XP 154 with the race shaft and hyperlite secondary? Helix? Primary/secondary springs, weights in primary?

So when you say race shaft-your saying you installed a 2008 600 Race sled jackshaft? or an aftermarket jackshaft?

would that same Turboal setup info be true on a ported 8? its an 04 w/race logic porting,
spinning a 162 x 16 x 2 1/4" Maverick.
