08 teliscoping handle bar conversion

steering post

pretty simple took about an hour to do it and i did not have to put the longer cables on either. cost me about $200 in canada.

I put one in my 08 (wife really liked the one on my 09) It took about an hour, the only thing I had to do was cut a few ty-wraps and reposition the harness so it would move properly. If in Canada the telescopic post is a couple of hundred bucks. In the US probably $69.95. I paid the couple hundred and the wife is happy!!

Got my kit from Echo in Edmonton, I just asked for the conversion kit came in 1 box. did not need to extend any cables everything reached. Be careful when you are unbolting old post there is a Ground cable attached to the top bolt on the brake side of the sled. There is a lock nut on the inside securing ground to the bolt. Real pain in the butt to repair if you miss it trust me. An impact really made it easy to take the nut off on the inside of the tunnel.

I wouldn't buy this again... Go for the Fastlane 4" cromoly post instead. The telescopic has way to much slop in the adjusting parts. Have it on my sled now(what a waste of 200$) and going to change to the Fastlane post with the BDX bearing...

Ditto.

The cat post is a loser. IT also has a lovely habit of snapping off instead of just bending, that's a great way to end the day.
