08 Summit WOT Issues

Hi

My 08 Summit X runs great for about 3 seconds at WOT. After that it appears to start run rich and bog down. It will hit about 8000 RPM and then just start sputtering and dropping RPMs quickly. You can let off the gas and repeat the same behavior over and over. It will do the same thing on a stand with no load. What is interesting is that it seems to run fine when you remove the air box. We have checked all the sensors and airway and everything looks good. I also had the dealer hook their computer up and it is not throwing any codes.

I had same problem and they found a loose wire on the valve solenoid that would tell the computer to advance the timing. The hard part of finding out what was wrong was the computer didnt have any codesor any thing else that was wrong. It would advance the timing but the computer said it was still in time. So it was telling the ecm to advance to save the motor it took the dealer 8 hours to find the problem.
