08 RMK Hood Fitment

There are huge gaps on both sides of the hood where it meets the fenders. Is this normal? I keep meaning to look at other sleds and see if they have it but always forget.

Looks like a lot of snow can get ingested into the motor. I am more concerned about snow getting into the clutches.

Last year I used some window foam strips to seal it up but they didnt last very long.

Any suggestions on how to fill this gap? Or should I just leave it?

The only time I ever got snow on the clutches was after tagging a tree on the side that actually pulled the top tab out of the side panel. When the belt slips from snow like that, you can't miss it, it will rev up and you'll think you are losing a belt or something.
