08 rmk 700efi reving problem help !!

hay my 08 700efi it will start and idle fine but you give it throttle and it will rev up but it will not work its way back down to idle agian, is it a torn throttle body boot i have already checked the fual pressure and that is fine also i have made shur the throttle bodys where closed to, if you hit the kill switch and let the moter rev down then turn the kill one before it totaly shuts down it will idle again i have been trying to figure also i messed with the throttle linkage to any help would be great thanks chris

Kind of sounds like an air leak. You can check by spraying WD40 around all the gaskets and boot areas. Also crank seal. Do this while running at the high RPM. When you find the leak it will come down in RPM.

If the throttle body boot isnt leaking which it dosnt sound like it is and the tps is correct Id go with the crank seals. I had the same problem after my first ever rebuild on my 08 IQ700. I didnt seal the groove around the outside of the seal. Its some work but realativly easy fix

thanks guys just took the primary clutch off and i can see the crank seal chewed up pulling the moter in 5 min i will let you all know the outcome again thanks so much
