08 M8 clutching

Sorry if this was already posted, but here is my question: Did the 08 M8 come underclutched like the 07? My dad just bought a crated hold over and I want to mess with it, but he is reluctant. He pulls a dog sled around to hunt Mtn lion and Bears, what is the best way of " gearing down," Can it be done with clutching, or will I have to change the actual gearing? Thanks in advance

You will have to change the gears in the diamond drive to "gear down". They came stock with 57/63 gears. I dropped my 08 to 54/66 and like it. The stock clutching isn't that far off. Just needs to be tweaked for your elevation to make sure you are at peak rpm.
