08 M1000 with Timbersled intake, Linderman cut head for premium, full SLP exhaust + pc5. Just wondering what kind of primary clutch weight people are running with the full SLP exhaust. Elevation is 4000 - 7000. Clutch is stock now except for Dalton adjustables in primary. Sled was previously running 7300 rpm without the SLP pipe using 83grams and ran excellent. Installed the pipe and PC5, dropped primary weight to 81grams. Sled would only pull 7500 rpm but seems to run clean. I know it has a more in it since i could pull my brothers M1000 by 3-5 lengths before i installed the actual pipe and PC5 (sleds are dead even now):face-icon-small-sad. I also noticed the egts were a little lower since installing the pipe and the PC5. So what kind of primary weight are some of you running with the full SLP exhaust. Any other ideas? Thanks!

I had the same sled and setup as you until I pulled the Timbersleds and went with the more tunable SLP intake for the PCV. I run 5-8K and am at 75 grams but running 57/63 gearing. If you are stock gearing, I would think 77's or so would put you spot on. I would also consider regearing. The way my sled is setup right now, I have had comments from a buddy that it feels just like a M7 turbo that he rode last year. It pulls pretty hard and whoops a buddies '08-M1000 pretty bad. Good luck........

I was looking at the pcV numbers you had posted previously and would like to know if you are still running the same map or have you leaned it out some more? I also use Racinstations map and the sled runs well but i figured i would ask? Just checking because i never see anywhere near 1200 degrees other than part throttle cruising down the trail. Maybe i will check my fuel pressure to make sure it is not too high. EGTs usually are around 900 - 1000. Thanks.

Weights

I'm running 80 grams with the stock spring and RK Tek 38/36 helix and snowpro green spring with 57/63 gears. Can's seem to get time to seem to look down to see what RPM's it's pulling but it pulls hard. Like Aaron said, I run the SLP intake also; that that's after running the BDX for almost 2 years. Definitely happier with the SLP airbox; makes the sled alot more consistent. I think there maybe room to drop 3 grams though; need to get a gage cage so I can see the tach!!

I am running a 120/330 dd white and 77 gram weights 46/40 helix and bd box at 2500 to 7000 feet and run 7700 all day long with the slp pipe setup on 09 m1000. very happy with it particularily boondocking. also geared 57/63.

The Speedwerx 125/340 spring (white) works really good. If you want, I can make adjustments to your map and take some fuel off the top to get the temps up a bit. I like them to be around 1150 for the 1000 at WOT.

I will PM u with my e-mail address. Thanks.
