08 M1000 bog

The last two rides (# 5 and 6 since new) my sled cuts out just off an idle when I start it up. Most of the time it starts up fine, but 1 out of 4 times it just cuts out comepleatly as I try to come up off an idle. When I go to restart it, it acts like it has been off all night (takes 3 pulls to start). It acts like the micro switches are hanging in the throttle block. Does this still happen on the new sleds? How can I unplug it to limp out if this gets worse? The only " new part " I put on just before this started to happen is a Boondocker box.

Mine always takes two pulls to get started when its dead cold and always just takes one after its warmed up. I've never had any bogging occur to where it wouldn't start up.

Update! getting worse!

Now there are two sleds in my group with this strange problem. It has now changed some what. SLed does not want to start at all hot. It may fire a couple times , but then nothing. My sled did start after aprox 10 pulls, and my buddy held the throttle wide open. Latter in the day his 08 M1000 died when he bumped the kill switch. After trading off guys trying to start this monster , we ended up checking a plug. It was sparking but dry! SO we pored a little gas down a cyl, just for good luck. It started , and ran fine after that. The dealer says it " might be dry fuel" what the ^&% ! is that !!!! Says to add a little oil to the gas. EFIs have been around for 15 years running fine with no oil in the gas. Do I need to start pre-mixing!!! Maybe I should have bought a dragon or an XP.....at least they re-start? I love this sled so it really hurts to think I may be stranded out some where.

my 07 does the same thing

its always started but fires me up because i am usually in the middle of nowhere and is always after i have been riding for a while. i thought maybe it was the BD box but that should only affect it if it is not getting any fuel, plus you can overide it back to stock if needed.

i think it's with the brain of the sled, my 04 900 has never done it...

might take it to the dealer and have him run it through the diagnostic program. Mine had a multitude of problems right form the get go, a bad crank seal was letting oil into the magneto, then I had a bad timing sensor, a bad pickup on the stator and a bare wire in the wiring harness, plus a plugged injector, hoping all these things we found have this sled fixed. But you might look in these areas.
