08 Dragon Regulator and ECU Burned UP!!

Part # 4012476 is a superseded # for the volt reg $135.19 retail
Part # 4011518 $343.97 for a base ecm it will need a map installed based on the color code of the injectors in the sled

part number

so the #4012476 is the newest part? when did it come out. Mine burned up in 2/2008 and had it replaced then. Same as everyone else, speedo gauge went goofy, sled died and smelled like an electrical fire. Since then the regulator has been fine, BUT I had 2 rebuilds/updates last year due to siezed pistons, just had the 4Th set of pistons installed on the newest recall.

is it really acceptable to have your sled in the shop more than you have it in the mountains???

this is madness, why cant anybody build a sled that doesnt blow up all the time and dosent weigh 600 pounds, its not like sleds were just invented:(

Was the ECU replaced at the same time as the regulator?
Was the fuel filter replaced before the 2 rebuilds?

I have no idea if a potentially damaged ECU will take a new program or not. I'd hate to see the new update have issues from the ECU.
