08 d8 idle too high

Sled was running great all week. Started up a small hill and rpm's dropped by a couple hundred and started running rough. At idle rpm is 1250 and real rough. If I blip the throttle the rpm goes to 4000 and will not drop below. Still has power, both cylinders are firing. The TPS was set a couple weeks ago, could it have come loose and out of adjustment?

Try messing with the throddle tension, the black adj.

Also should mention that my grip heaters were not working for most of the week either. Could the two be related? I have heard of some guys having trouble with the wires shorting on the bars and frying the ECU.

It's a little late for an update, but the problem was the skirt broke and went through the case...a little extra air. It was nothing a complete motor and fix kit couldn't cure.

Piston skirt or cylinder skirt?

Cylinder skirt...punched one big and two small holes in bottom of case. Also caused several other cracks and breaks around the fuel injectors. Trashed everything.

I would not put it back together with out the fix kit it will make it a whole new sled.
