08 800 XP 146 - opinions? How much to stretch?

I can pick up an 08 XP 800 Everest NEW for a really good price (under $6700) but would have to drive quite a bit to get it, I have an 02 800 ZX 151 now. Would I be disappointed with the "short track"? How much would it cost (or is it even possible) to extend it should I decide I want more track? Same dealer has 09 XP 800 Everest 154 for about $8K.

Get the 146 and run it like it is and see what you think. It will outrun your old 151 for sure. That is a great price for it. I went down to a 146 from a 151 just to be different then the trenchers. On deep powder days by buddies 154
will do just a little better but not much. In the trees and tight stuff the 146 is so much fun. And the the spring on the long pulls the 146 will have the highest track speed. You can always swap skids and track latter if you want it longer. Too a 154 would not be enough of a difference in my opinion. Also on the deep days the 146 still goes where older rev 163 are getting stuck. save the casha nd enjoy the ride. Paid 10K for my 146 09 X for the price I would pick one up for the wife as a back up.

Gotta disagree on the 08 comment. If you're buying it from a dealer all the updates should be done, it's basically the same sled as the 09. I've got an 08 and have zero, nada, zip problems with it.

Probably somewhere around $550.00 canadian. Or if you can get a good deal on a 15 wide camo extreme 154. I'd probably take that on trade. And possibly pay a little difference.

For a difference of $1300 I would definitley get the 09 800 154.
