07 Y Pipe

Got an 07 and the bolts holding the y-pipe are coming loose. Looking to see what others have done to stop this problem.

Nord Lock washers

Google Nord Lock washers. Put them on my 07 at the start of last year and have never had one come loose yet. I believe M6 is the size you want. They can be a little tricky to find. I got mine through a bolt supply house.

Yeah i am having the same problem, my dealer told me to use pipe dope on them, but that hasn't helped. And man are those bottom 2 inside bolts ever a B**ch to get at!

It's not just you're 07. Every rev I ever owned they came loose. I've had an 04,05,06, and an 07. My buddy checked his xp before we went to alpine and one was missing. I used red lock tite but you would think skidoo could fix the problem after this many years. I also have a ball tipped allen wrentch with me when I go riding.

Yep, get the Nord Lock washers

Found mine locally at Fire and Fasteneers, Anchorage, AK. Havent had one come loose yet. 07X151

mine were loose when i checked today... just a friendly reminder to check them when you guys are goin over your sleds this fall

if it is an 07, that is a known issue that is covered under a BRP update/recall notice...

it was issued in either november or december of 06, and covered all the 800 summits...it also adressed the pinched fuel lines on some sleds

Just get the Nord-Locks and be done with it ... you don't even use Lock-Tite when you use them so the bolts will come out easy if you have to remove them for any reason. I have 2 full seasons on them and haven't had 1 bolt loosen up
