07 Skidoo Summit Rev 800

My sled is stock and heavy, (07 Skidoo Summit Rev 800). What can I do to wake this sled up and make it leener? Reading these forums, gives great ideas. From getting rid of the sway bar to changing the exhaust. Where should I start? Clutch to increase the performance or shedding weight?
Any suggestions would be helpfull.

Thanks

Some good reading here on suspension tips and critical information on primary clutch wear parts.

07 REV great sled last year of one of the best. The 07 once set up is a strong runner,a good contender in the 800 class,if you still have the stock exhaust loose it,put on a light pipe and can, this will be your biggest weight loss.Read up on DJ's clutch kits they are wicked and will wake your sled up once installed and set up,affordable performance gain, exhaust is a few more bucks.

07 LAST YEAR OF A GREAT SLED....

I have a 2005 Ski-Doo Summit 600, and lost 8 or 9lbs by removing the sway bar. First I was skeptical but it made a huge difference in throwing the sled on its side. A quick and cheap and easy way to loose a few pounds.

Thank you Snow..girl, I did remove the sway bar this week. Went playing yesterday in the mountains of Utah. It made a little difference in handling and turning.

Sled starts hard

This weekend I went sledding. The sled started ok when I went to pull it out of the trailer. After riding for about 30 minutes, I stopped and shut it off. When I went to start it again it cranked and cranked but wouldn't start until I held the throttle wide open. It put out black smoke, out of the exhaust but finally started. It did the same several more times thoughout the day. I just left it run for the remainder of the day. When I was heading back to the parking lot, a friend shut off the sled and I just knew it wouldn't start again but, it did and started each time I tried for the remainder of the day.

This is the first issue I've had with this machine, it only has 700 miles on it.

Has anyone else had this issue with an 07 ski doo Rev 800? Is this something I need to take to the ski doo shop for repairs?

I talked today with a SKI DOO shop. The tech thinks I should change plugs, they are most likely fouled. I'll start there.
