'07 Rev 800R gone quiet

just recently took the rave exhaust valves out for a cleaning, even after 3700 km's they were fine. put everything back together, new plugs etc.
fired it up up, ran for 5 min then down the street a little ways when it began to konk out.
sled would not re-fire, lots of new fuel, lots of spark,

the machine has run solid never an issue.

any ideas at this point would be appreciated.

thanks

might check

And see if you put the rave valves back in the right way, not sure if that would kill your motor or not but worth checking

mine acted up as well at 3600 km,last week into the shop and now gettin a new top end ,cylinders, pistons, rings bla,bla,bla......i'm down fer 2 weeks approx......had 2 weeks warranty left.....

check your compression for chits and giggles.......do it cold and then warm.....mine ended up at 80 psi warmm i knew sumtin was up then

did you have any warning signs ?
mine ran for 10 min. prior to it simply stumbling and shutting down.
I had checked compression back in September, it was 90 and dealer said that motor should be at 100.
the sled has run great this year, 3 rides into the season.

nope.once i got it barked up it still ripped hard though.i had to have buddy feathering the throttle and me pulling the hell out of the recoil just to get it flashed up .

if i wanted to idle, it wouldnt, it would just stumble and die on itself, and would not go into reverse, obviously due to no compression to fire backwards.

Mine is kinda acting up also. I had a heck of a time getting mine going after sittin for almost a year. So i drained half the gas out and filled with fresh. Took my sled for a 60mile ride the other day and it ran fine. Took 2 pulls and it fired up. Let it sit overnight(got to -20) and i could not get it running if my life depended on it. It was only -14 today and still nothin. Now if i pulled it to the shop and put the heat on i bet it would be runnin in 5 minutes. But i have no idea. Only got 690miles(1104km) and warranty was up November 30th and the dealer wont even touch it unless i pay. Any help would be good.

P.S. I installed new BR9ECS plugs only a couple days ago and fresh gas. But it ran like crap with the old gas in it.

good to go

well guy's for what it's worth, I took the sled in today and the tech found no issues.
he pulled the cord 3 x and she fired right up, prognosis I guess was it was severely flodded.

we'll see tomorrow in Rev'y.
