07 REV 800 Summit and Summit X, what's the difference?

I need an ed-ju-ma-kay-shun on 07 REV Summit 800s. What's the difference between the summit and the summit X in 07? How can u tell the difference w/o stickers on the sled or an original sales certificate? I'm thinkin of getting a DJ clutch kit and don't know if I have the X model or not.

I think the Adrenaline has 2" lugs vs the X which at 2.5".
Also the Adenaline has a taller windshield, the "U" shaped riser. The X has rebuildable shocks.

Easiest way to determine which version you have would be to grab the VIN and call your dealer. They should be able to use that to tell you exactly what you have. The X version was the snowcheck model and has a different cluster, different shocks, different brake, and some cosmetic differences. I am sure there are a few other items that were different but those are the ones off the top of my head.

in 07 the adrenaline came with the powdermax track and the summit X came with the challenger lite track. The X model also has the braided brake line and lightweight brake caliper.

Adrenaline vs X

I think it depends on the area where you purchase it! The reason I say that is, I bought an 07 Adrenaline and I have all the same features as the X model for the exception of the shocks!

It came with the challenger lite 151 2.5 and the braided brake line.

So I think it has to do with the dealership and how they order them!

my buddy has the normal 07 and I have the x. Gas tank is different, shocks, sway bar and one of the side panels. I thought the powdermax track was the crappy track that came on the x and xrs?

The tip off on mine were the big "X" sitckers plastered left right and sideways on it....

Just given ya a hard time

well a x does cost more but thats because its better. You will get better suspention on the front and back also the handlebars are better, the X has a better track for mountain climbin..hope this helps

Not necessarily. I spring ordered mine and had the option for either track.

got mine in dec 07 and it has the the 2.25 track and its not an x. the thing is a screamer not a problem yet!!!! fingers crossed!
