how come not alot of people didnt make pipes for the 07 800R? but they make them for the 08 xp

Because it didn't make economic sense to do the tooling for a one year only pipe. The requirements for the '07 800R in the REV were diff than for the '08 where they knew the design, space and volume requirements would be the same for the next 4-5 years. Would you go thru the expense of tooling and design knowing it's going to work for only that year's sled? I was surprised Dynoport even bothered.

Take a look at bikeman performance http://bikemanperformance.com/snowmobile/ski-doo/rev-800r.html they have a pipe and also a pipe mod they do on the stock pipe.

I wouldn't waste the money on a pipe for that sled....there are plenty of other things you can do for more gain with less money....

go with the Aaen 07 pipe and can. real big low and mid gains and top runs well

The 07 800R made more power because it didn't have carb boots that were a foot long like the 2008+ XP 800R does.

The pipe, lack of t-stat and timing curve had a LOT more to do with the extra power the '07 had over subsequent 800R's than carb boots.
