07 pipe?

Because it didn't make economic sense to do the tooling for a one year only pipe. The requirements for the '07 800R in the REV were diff than for the '08 where they knew the design, space and volume requirements would be the same for the next 4-5 years. Would you go thru the expense of tooling and design knowing it's going to work for only that year's sled? I was surprised Dynoport even bothered.

Pipe

I've also read, that the stock pipe was very functional on the 07, which is why it produced about 4 hp more than the 08 XP.

I wouldn't waste the money on a pipe for that sled....there are plenty of other things you can do for more gain with less money....

Pipe

That makes 2 votes for the Aaen single phat daddy, makes big power all the way through. Yeatts knows his stuff. By the way the Rev is going to be tough to beat this year :face-icon-small-wineven with the boosted M's.

Good to see your still around. How bout this "Alternative Impact" Rev arms at 37 center to center.I can make your 07 185hp now and reliable power.Woops wrong thread.

The 07 800R made more power because it didn't have carb boots that were a foot long like the 2008+ XP 800R does.

Mutty

The pipe, lack of t-stat and timing curve had a LOT more to do with the extra power the '07 had over subsequent 800R's than carb boots.
